Goodman Ranch

Tennessee Whitetail hunting is one of some most challenging Whitetail hunting in North America. We have great natural cover for the Grey Ghost to hide and this makes for an exciting and challenging hunt. We have over 100 acres of food plots containing five different kinds of clover, wheat, rye, chicory, and even more vegetation designed to stimulate antler growth and overall good general health. Early in the fall we like to hunt in the mature hardwood forests where the white oaks are dropping their acorns. This time of year is probably the most beautiful time around here because of all the hardwood hill country changing colors. Later in the year we hunt over food plots where deer like to come when the food is getting sparse. We offer hunting out of covered blinds and ladder stands. You can also still hunt if you prefer. Whitetail may be taken by the weapon of your choice, depending on state regulations. You can click on this TWRA link to find out seasons and regulations.Tennessee offers two youth hunts for Whitetail, one is in the beginning of the season and one is at the end of the season. The early season comes just before muzzle loading season and the deer have not been annoyed by gun shots. We have managed this herd for over thirteen years and have been able to allow the Whitetail bucks to grow to maturity. We consistently kill 3-1/2 years or older bucks every year. When you put together a high protein diet, proper vitamins and minerals, and allowing the bucks to mature in age, you get an outstanding herd of healthy bucks. This herd allows you to have plenty of opportunity to harvest a mature Trophy Whitetail. Our whitetail hunts are generally a 3day/ 2night hunt with meals and lodging for $3995. This price does not include taxidermy, meat processing, or guide fees. Please contact us to check the status of our herd and to see when the best time to book your hunt would be.
